Build meaningful connections with peers across sectors and communities.

Bring your voice and perspective into system-level change.

Learn about resources available to support the actions put forward in the plan.

Have the important work you are doing to advance public health priorities be recognized and celebrated.
Ways to Participate
There are multiple ways to participate in the SPH-CAP process, and
we welcome whatever level of engagement works best for you.
Become a
Network Member
We invite individuals and organizations working across all areas of public health in BC to join the SPH-CAP Network by completing our Sign-Up Form. This ensures you’ll receive future updates on the project, invitations to engagement opportunities across all six priority areas in BC’s Population and Public Health Framework, and ways to stay involved. Becoming a network member does not commit you to attending collaborative meetings
(see below).
Participate in
Collaborative Meetings
Network members who wish to take part more actively are invited to join a series of collaborative virtual meetings (5–6 sessions, 1–2 hours each in a 12-month period). These sessions bring public health partners from across sectors together to co-develop action plans that advance the Framework’s priority areas. Each series focuses on a specific priority area.
These meetings are an opportunity to learn about related work happening in this area, network and collaborate with other organizations, and engage in ongoing knowledge exchange. PHABC will collate the ideas and actions shared in these sessions to develop the Collaborative Action Plan.
2025-26 Collaborative Meeting Series
The first series of meetings runs from June 2025 until February 2026 and is focused on advancing the Best Start in Life priority area, which aims to build foundations of good health by reducing unfair disadvantages for pregnant people, children, and families. Network members working in this area were invited to participate.
While this initial phase focuses on Best Start in Life, PHABC plans on expanding to other priority areas in future collaborative sessions. We encourage organizations working across all areas of public health in BC to join the network to stay informed about other opportunities to participate in the SPH-CAP.
Resources to Support Participation
Honoraria and grants are available to support participation in collaborative meetings and to fund small-scale projects and initiatives that emerge through the action planning process. These projects are led by participating community-based organizations, Indigenous service organizations, and academic partners.
How to Join
We encourage all eligible organizations to join the SPH-CAP network by filling out our Network Sign-Up Form. This ensures you’ll receive future updates, be invited to engagement opportunities, and stay involved in shaping the action plan.
Please note: Completing this form does not commit you to participate in the collaborative meetings. There are multiple ways to engage in this work, and we’ll be sharing additional opportunities for input and involvement. If you have questions about the network or how to get involved, please fill out our contact form, and a member of our team will reach out to you shortly.
